Catching Up

I caught up with an "old" friend today, whom I hadn't seen for almost 3 years. I was actually wanting to talk to her about a local cemetery -- I have a part time hobby of photographing cemeteries. I have some samples at Hecate's Grandchildren (my Goth site).

Anyway, it was always a bit odd with this friend. I get the feeling that she likes me, but doesn't want to be seen with me (because I'm transsexual). This is perhaps why I let the friendship lapse a few years ago. The last time I had contact with her was before going overseas for my op.

I think I'll let the friendship lapse again -- I have the information I wanted.

There's no percentage in cultivating a friendship with someone like that -- it only brings down my self esteem. I offered to send her one of my magazines and all she could say was "um, er, well I'll read anything" (!) Hasn't she ever heard of "No, thanks"?

If I hear this term one more time, I'll...

  ...probably laugh.

It just seems so stupid -- the excuse to wage war on Iraq, and now they can't find any! What next?
