NEED SOME WINDOWS HELP!!!!

I appear to have a some malware on one of my PCs called IHAVENET. Its most visible effect is that it redirects links found in google to OTHER WEBSITES especially if you've searched for help on getting rid of it!

I had problems earlier this year with BABALON toolbar and SNAP.DO, but was able to remove them manually after finding instructions how to do so. But IHAVENET hasn't responded to any instructions to remove it manually (have been using AVANT BROWSER to search for stuff, because it doesn't seem affected).

AVG Antivirus didn't pick up any of these. I've downloaded some ant-malware software to search and destroy this stuff: Malabytes AntiMalware; Spy Hunter, and PC Cleaner Plus. But then I got suspicious and found differing reviews, some of which have described these programs as mal/spyware themselves!!!

So, does anyone have any recommendations (and links) on either instructions to get rid of this thing, or reliable software that will get rid of IHAVENET? I don't mind paying for software, provided the solution works, and isn't worse than what it cures!!!

Which Windows are you running? If it's a recent version then you shouldn't be running anything other than Windows Defender (slightly older versions) or Microsoft Security Essentials. Both are perfectly able to protect your machine without additional software.

If you are running a really old version of Windows then you shouldn't download more than one AntiMalmare/Spyware software product as that degrades any protection on your machine and simply doesn't work well.

The Avant browser's security features are limited and it has compatibility issues with modern applications so you might want to consider changing to Chrome or Firefox.

If you can't find a website that can help you remove IHAVENET you might have to do a Windows reinstall. Sorry I can't be more help.

If you are running Win 7 then you shouldn't need any other antivirus software other than Microsoft Security Essentials. It works very well and I've never had any problems with viruses or spyware. If you are already running Essentials having other software installed could be leaving your machine at risk. Be sure to disable Windows Defender if you install it (although MSE should disable it for you).
