On the Defiant

Well, I just spent about six hours in Second Life. Doesn't take long to chew up the time - some of that was downtime while my modem couldn't connect with the ISP, but most of it was spent adjusting my appearance and meeting people, and...   ...exploring.

I had an underwater conversation in a swimming pool; I flew (and crashed) a rocket, and I visited the Defiant:

I did a lot of flying, so I also made a "flying outfit": Yeah, well I always thought that Hawkwoman was cool (and I haven't yet figured out how to make a Supergirl outfit).

Gasp, i can see that 2nd Life can be a big time-waster if you let it be, but I'm having fun!

Voting Today

After a marathon session of Second Life, I might only go out once today, and that's to vote in the Federal Election. Normally I'd take Pegasus for a walk with me, but he seems a bit ill - tummy upset I think. And who am I going to vote for - under the Australia voting system, EVERYBODY!

If only they'd let us have old voting forms as cheap table cloths.

Should I buy a new Camera?

 I saw a $98 camera in Dick Smith's the other day with 6 mega pixels and 3x zoom. Very tempting to replace my old Canon A20 which I bought for $800 in 2001.I'm very tempted to buy it, but am not sure I can afford to do so.

What do you think - is it worth the $$$? I have until the 26st November before it goes back up to about $150.
