This means a "locked senate" inn that the libs can if they want block the passage  of bills, unless either some of their members cross the floor, or Labor gets the other members on side.

My Daria Outfit (unfinished)Super Elsie

Have to go out tomorrow. If they still have them (at at the special rate), I'll be buying a camera tomorrow (last day of the special) and visiting Jenn. I was going to do that today, but when I woke up (about 6:30 am) Hallie and Kevin were still up (he'd been on SL all night) and it got complicated and then it was 11am and I'd been on Second Life for 3 hours!

Well, I've been spending a LOT more time this weekend on Second Life. Mostly it's been pretty pleasurable. I've made good friends and found places where I can chat, and I've even witnessed a DALEK rebellion!

However, I didn't get a lot else done. I was originally planning on logging on tonight at 11pm (+10 GMT) but spent a bit of time this morning hunting down some clothes, organising my inventory (it pays to put things in folders), and refining my appearance (I now have default body sets for Elsie, Vampire, Alien, and even Laura Seabrook).

This afternoon Kevin ([livejournal.com profile] mycosys, who's now on Second Life as well as Mycosys Schism, after I infected him) called me back on for a special event involving boots, but the location had so many people there and so much detail that it was painful waiting for the details to appear. It also broke my flow,  Didn't get much further later on either as I logged on much earlier. It was good fun and I thoroughly enjoyed it, but...

...I didn't get my web comics done.

That was the alternate plan to going out today - doing a couple of web comic pages. Clearly I need to prioritise or SL will take over my life (fucking addictive it is, because it's so easy and a lot of fun). Therefore, I will be off SL until I get two more pages of comics up.

You know, I came off from Second Life earlier today, fixed myself an iced green tea and sat down to watch a bit of TV before starting on some web comics (never got those done but that's a different story). Anyway, I turned on the TV and got mesmerised by the program that was on (the photo at right is from this).

It was Dr Tatiana's Sex Advice to All Creation on SBS (8:30-9:30pm). A really colourful musical about sex in the natural and not so natural kingdoms. At once point Kevin walked in and was surprised by the statement from the narrator saying "...and then the party is broken up when a couple of gaudy hermaphrodites arrive". Um, er, yeah.

Apparently this is a semi-musical based on a book of the same name by Olivia Judson. I liked it. There is something really surreal about seeing actors dressed up as monkeys singing about why they're homosexual (because they can!) or seeing  some animal give birth to her son, have sex with him and then kill and eat him (and I recognised the actor playing the son as an ex Time Bandit).

Cool, I can't wait to see next week's episode!
