Went over to Jenny's today.
It was the first time in over six weeks. Spent the day watching a couple of films. She seemed tired and washed out when I got there, but more cheerful when I left. I hadn't been over to see her because I had this dreadful cough, and didn't want to infect her with it. Missed my visits - I do like her.
After having Hallie tear up part of my foam mattress, I've decided to add a couple of "dog gates" to my end of the house.
Basically, they're a couple of pieces of plywood with lift-out hinges on one side, that I can just stick across the hallway at each doorway (neither has a door). They'll only be 600 mm high, but will be raised by about 10 cm above the floor so that cats can scoot underneath. I bought hinges, wood, screws, nuts and bolts in the last few days, and Kevin will help me put it together tomorrow.
It might just make things a little more stable here.
