Serious Life Fucking Transition? How many bloody more would I want?! I'm heading down to Jayne's today.
It's going to be a leisurely trip - I'll be spending some time in Cardiff, and a lot of time in Sydney until I catch the train out at around 7pm from Central. The time down in Sydney will be well spent at the Museum of Contemporary Art, and also in spending $50 credit I won last year for a 24 comics day event. And maybe some lunch and general browsing elsewhere as well.
I won't be getting to Jayne's until about 8:30pm. that's because everyone is out until then. What they don't know is that I'm taking down my old SD set top box and DVD player to give to Jayne. Jayne is poor. She makes do, but there's little money spare for new gear. I don't need a set top box for my lounge room (now hooked up via digital tuners and/or a PVR) and I've decided to (eventually) get a HD set top box, so the old one is superfluous. Likewise I bought a DVD player for Jenny and she couldn't use it at the time so I took it home with me - that one stays with me (it has memory!) and the old one goes to Jayne.
Why to Jayne? She's been a good friend over the years and I periodically stay at her house in times of stress and crisis. So why not?
I seem to be much more active with Art this year, as in showing my work, and going to openings and such.
