Pegasus was a bastard today.

I went out to bring in the rubbish bins. At the same time two houses up the guy there came back with his truck and bobcat, leaving the front gate open. Pegasus ran out, and into their front yard and attacked their two dogs!

This is not the first time he's done this - he did the same thing about a year ago. I raced in and tried to grab him and his collar came off Then I grabbed in and lifted him up away from the two blue healers. The guy came down, and grabbed his dogs.

I shouted out. "He's harmless, he hasn't got any teeth left!" to which he replied "And this one's blind!". Eventually it all settled down, and I got back into my yard. I was so angry though, that I ignored him until dinner time.

Taking the Plunge

I've decided to add some more web comics.

Might seem a bit silly considering sometimes I can barely keep on schedule with the ones at Comic Genesis. But, that site is a place for me to put continuing stories. The one at Web Comic Nation is for reprints of paper comics. The new one will be for working on Graphic Novels.

Ambitious, ain't I? I've created two comic definitions (though there's nothing at either as I write):

Gender Transition for Innocents
Examines the queer and trans theory of 'Gender Transition' as theorised in relation to personal and public experience. To be presented finally in a paper format similar to Scott McCloud's 'Understanding Comics' (I hope).

Real Life Test 
Autobiographical account focussed on journeys, transitions, and changes taken by the author (some of which involved religious and gender transitions).

I've known for a while that I'm meant to do these, and this is a form of commitment. Neither will have a regular schedule. I'll update them when I need to, or have stories/sections ready. Of course, it might all come to nothing, but there has to be a first step sometime, somewhere. I've always found that if I can do a cover page, or the first draft of an essay, then I'm much more likely to get it started and completed.

More Weird Shit (or a wander around the Web)

Searching on the web can take some unusual turns. I was originally checking out an image of Cybele on eBay, at the request of a friends, then...

• Stumbled upon The Church of Reality while looking for a sample of "Christian Comics". Not sure what the connection is, but these guys remind me of the Church of the SubGenius, only with a different tack. Check out their "Hidden Agenda" page.
  
• And on that note, I found Elvis Presley: Hero with a Thousand Faces! I'm, um, not entirely sure if this is a spoof or not. I do like the comparison of "The King" with the Greek god of wine and madness, Dyonisus.
  
  
  
• Mysteries of Çatalhöyük is presented in a mock comic book / "Ripley's Believe it or Not style, but I think that works. The "Why do they bury their families under the floor?" question on the "skip intro" Flash page got me hooked.
  
• EBook of The Dance (by An Antiquary), by Anonymous is a Project Gutenberg project. It's also a strange mix of courier text and scanned illustrations. Hmmm.
  
  
• astrotheology and the truth about the jesus christ as found in the new testament ? The first thing you read on that page is "COMPARISON OF THE NATION'S SUNGODS WITH THE "JESUS STORY" OF THE NEW TESTAMENT: WHY ARE THEY THE SAME STORIES?" 
  
  The answer is... ...anyone, anyone?
