Delays and Lack of Contact

Well, I heard today that I didn't get the Travel Scholarship.
Rather, I heard that I'd been "culled" from the applicants even before there was an interview. I heard this in general terms from the Honours manager (who was speaking to all the honours students) who said that the ones that "weren't academic enough" had been culled. My application was one of the ones returned. I'm annoyed over this in that it's been well over a month and there hadn't been any notice of what was going on. OK, now I did get to America this year so maybe I don't need it, but that's not the point. I'm also dissappointed to have not even reached the interview stage. Oh well, so it goes.
Other things that annoy me are that my endo (or rather his staff) have still not contacted me about another appointment, nor have I received any referral to a dietician at John Hunter Hospital. It's been six months now on the first, and nine months on the second. I was going to phone last Friday but forgot (I actually went over to Jenn's for the day). Now my GP gave me the name and phone number of a dietician that works for Hunter Health (i.e. free for someone like me on disability allowance) so the second is not that crucial. Annoying, yes.
Counter to the above is that I forgot about an appointment I had with an allergy specialist. It'd been postponed until last week, and I "discovered" the referral envelope on Monday, five days late. Don't know how I stuffed up on this one, but I did. Maybe it's a good thing because it would have costs me $280 upfront, with maybe 50% of that recovered later.
Oh well, these things happen.
