Faceook Shit

Damn it, I just un-friended someone and blocked them, because their posts here on Facebook (which were 99% athiast / political / silly crap shares) just kept "triggering" me. In my attempts to cope with this situation I added filter after filter via SOCIAL FIXER so I wouldn't see it.
But this morning, when I made a minor comment about a fake photo of Einstein playing the guitar (which he never did - he played the violin) after the the original poster pointed out how fake it was it got VERY out of hand, and I ended up not only de-friending and blocking them, but blocking someone else as well.
The thing is it put me in an "endless loop" of feedback, I felt locked into a compulsive need to reply once it started. I call this OCD, but whatever it is it destroys my concentration until I get it sorted out. This is why I'm very careful about who I befriend on this account, and it's also why I had to abandon two previous accounts - too many contacts sharing shit that wasn't personal but which drew me into "that space".
Mostly the triggers on Facebook seem to be: "well meaning" misquotes; shared slogans and sweeping statements that misrepresent things (and which usually the sharer adds no comment or critique); poorly photo-shopped images which put people (especially dead people) into situations for humour (or re-use photos that had one point - like a hippo chasing a man - and pervert that by reframing it), and self-serving "share this if you're..." shares.
But this is still upsetting. I would have rather kept her as a friend there, but 9 times out of 10 the the shit she posted really upset or annoyed me.
