I hope you're feeling a bit better today. That stress test sounds like it would have had anyone in tears! Especially while you're trying to heal from that fall.

Falling and being unable to get up is really frightening when you're alone. Having people see you and not come help makes it worse. It's happened to me, too. I'm sorry it happened to you.

Have you considered fostering a dog? You do seem to be good with taking care of animals, and most shelters will cover the expenses of caring for fosters. Or maybe volunteering somewhere for a few hours a week? It would get you out and around people with shared interests. And volunteer work runs a huge gamut, from stuffing envelopes to building ramps and such for handicapped folks. And helping others can really help you feel good, too.

And remember -- depression lies! Especially when you're feeling weak. You are dealing with a lot, but you can do it. Baby steps -- they might take longer to get there, but you get to look at the scenery.
