Tired

Just felt tired today. Still have a back ache, but I still walked Pegasus (we both needed it).

Just have this mental image of me lying in the snow, while it drifts and accumulates and piles up around me. Funny that, because it's Autumn here and I've never, ever been in snow.

Went to bed at 6pm, but got woken up by a call from Carol.

A Death in the family

I just got an e-mail from my ex's partner, asking me to call her due to "a death in the family". I phoned Carol, and was told that her ex had just died of cancer. Carol hadn't had any contact with her ex, or kids, for the last 12 years. Quite a shock though. Apparently Carol's daughter will be phoning her tomorrow, and she's worried at what might be said.

Must be getting old - soon, like my mother - I'll have nothing but stories about friends and relies illnesses and deaths.
