Final Contact

I finally got through to Meredith, who's organising the "Bi-Bacchanalia" float. Looks like I'll have to get to the city before 5:30pm, so I'll be leaving here by 2:30pm at the latest. I'll probably catch the train from Cardiff - as all trains stop there, and only half stop at Teralba.

Funny - on Thursday I couldn't get to Teralba station to get into Second Life as Sandy Creek was flooded and the weir was impassable. I drove off to Cardiff instead. That was OK but I parked on a hill and when I got back that day, the best I could do was reverse down the hill into a side street, and then drive off from there - must get the engine looked at when I can. And yesterday when I went to Teralba to go in and pick up the flag (Jackie did most of the work on it) some guy turned up on the station, and just peed on the side of the building - how nice! So I won't miss Teralba then, will I?

Whew - I finally vacuumed the lounge to remove the Epsom salts. I've sprayed with "flea mix", but I have to go down to Sydney before I can really see and feel the results. Peggy gets a herbal bath tomorrow, and later some front-line.

Meet at the corner of Park and Elizabeth Streets outside Starbucks under the 'bi-NSW' sign between 5-5.30 pm. Here you donate your $20 (right cash please) be given your wristbands needed to access the marshalling area.Latecomers will be sadly missed as lock commences at 6pm no ifs or buts... ...When in the marshalling area, find the truck and our space (F14)... ....Bring snacks, bring something to drink, as it's a bit of a wait for nightfall. My Dad has donated two boxes of water but please bring extras.Anything you bring you will have to carry, all rubbish included. There's unfortunately no room on the truck for bags.

That last bit was the problem last year, so I'm travelling VERY light. Kaftans come in handy sometimes! I'm having a quick shower, and then I'm off!
