Well, I got here.
It was a loooong trip. Left Sydney Airport just after 3:40pm on Wednesday (Australian Time), and got to Albany International Airport (NY) by 2am on the 16th (American Time). There were two connections - San Francisco and Chicago and I spent about 6 hours waiting around at these places. But the big wait was at Albany.
Due to delays the plane got in 2 hours LATE! Cathryn turned up at midnight and waited for over an hour, but it was real cold here last night. I got in around 2am instead of 11:59pm and found no one there. I didn't panic. At least until I discovered that I didn't have the phone numbers that I'd been e-mailed. Worried for a little bit, and then formed a plan.
I waited until information opened up around 6am, then got a pass to go into the International Section and got to the business centre. There I changed some money and got on the net, posting a message to Suan and then sending an e-mail to Cathryn, just after 8am. She came and picked me up at about 9:15am. It was a loooong trip. just sent e-mails to my brothers just to let them know I got here safely (and to let mum know), and will be crashing shortly.
Funny, but spent more of the trip with my goth/bike boots off, as they set off the alarms at customs and security. Didn't know if it'd be snowing here or not, and brought them just in case.
