Turn About Days
Oct. 6th, 2006 10:22 pmWell, that was an unusual couple of days...
I went off in the morning without a clue how to fix my PC. After seeing my G.P. (form my disability review) I went into town, to the library and then to the Octapod.
Anyway, at the Octapod I met mycosys, whom I'd met briefly at a previous T.I.N.A. - he was a PC techie looking for quiet and safe accommodation, and I was someone with peaceful and quiet accommodation, looking for someone who could fix my computer. It was a long day, but because I could offer Kevin a room, he was able to leave a horrible hostel he was stuck in, and (at least for now) seems to like my location here in Barnsley - it's country-like and quiet (big reasons I've stayed here.
We seem to operate at similar levels, have different disabilities, but similar outlooks and ways of dealing (or not dealing) with the world. Gasp. Everything seemed to happen so quickly, but I seem to have a boarder!
Oh, and the computer's fixed, by swapping it the drives into the (unused) Linux box. Runs three times faster now.
Thank you Goddess!
