Monitor Status
Jan. 18th, 2007 10:58 amWell, Erica drove me out to the selkler last night, and I got my monitor.
It's 17" and has a good resolution. Haven't checked it properly yet, but somehow I trust it works. It'll be fun getting it back to Barnsley. I'll be taking it on the train using a shopping trolley frame, a pillow, and some bungee cords! The big problem will be getting it onn and off the trains. However, I plan on going straight to CENTRAL and cattching teh Newcastle train from there, so I can get the right spot.
It was funny last night, as the street the seller was in had a lot of stuff out for council cleanup. We munged: another monitor + speakers; towels racks; and an old PC box with a whole set of PCI cards. Don't know if any of them work yet, but the glee of scavenging was joint!
