I've decided to leave Wikipedia as a contributor. I do no believe that anything I do there is worth shit any more.

Downgrading APANA account

I've been with Hunter Apana for about 8-9 years, but I'm downgrading my membership to an e-mail only one. I also resigned from the Management Committee. For the last three phone meetings (or more) I've said nothing other than"hello", and no one's noticed. One meeting I dozed off (I was laying down on my bed at the time) and no one noticed. Don't feel I'm contributing in a meaningful fashion any more.

I'd been putting this off for as long as I could, but it seemed the right time, just before this year's AGM, and just after signing up with Australis.Net for broadband (as I'm committed for a year with that).

Turnabout Day

Well, things changed for the better.

I had a weird telephone conversation with Bill, who was thinking of coming up to Newcastle to avoid the APEC meeting this coming week. It turned out that he wasn't coming up, as he was now house/dog sitting for some who was protesting the event!

Also, Kali dropped in. Always makes me feel better when she does. We went over to Jame's place where I mowed the lawn, and then to Broadmeadow where she booked a return trip to Canberra by rail (she's off to see here great-nephew). We did some food shopping on the way home, and went to Jaycar's to find a PS2/RS232 port adapter for her mouse.

It's been good to chat with her. Seems I'm not the only one having trouble with Wikipedia - someone keeps changing pages she adds to, even though she's an expert on the subject. I might investigate that later tonight.

And it was just good to see her.
