[Error: unknown template qotd]...because it's the only one I have? I think it's a leading question. Anyone who's undergone gender transition and any kind of reassignment surgery probably loves their body more than they did, but - I still feel overweight (120kg) and I often feel ill or sick. Maybe I don't love my body, otherwise I'd try harder on losing weight and feeling fitter, wouldn't I?

Both seen at Swansea, Lake Macquarie yesterday.

Outside a Herbalist shop. Haven't they ever seen Ren & Stimpy?

This one was in the park area in the middle of Pacific Highway.

Some days I do what I call a "Library Run" in which the priority is returning borrowing stuff at libraries. Yes, it's possible to flip though the online catalogues (and I do), but nothing beets actually going to a library and browsing, because serendipity comes into play. Yesterday I did a library run to both Swansea and Speers Point libraries. It took my 2+ hours of bus travel to get to Swansea library (4 buses) and took a lot longer to get home. And it was worth it.

At Swansea I found copies of the DVDs Return of the Pink Panther (which is supposedly not available in Australia), Persepolis (bought the comic last month), Earthsea (part 1 of what looks like a SciFi channel series) and The Fisher King (good film by Terry Gilliam). In fact, I bought copies of the last twice, and on each occasion it vanished between buying them and getting home(!), so I was quite pleased to see the library copy. I also borrowed various graphic novels (always something new there), and a book called The End of Gender? which is about Queer Theory. This time I need to complete reading it for my Masters. While at Swansea I also browsed some of the shops there.

On the way to Speers Point I stopped at Warners Bay and bought a magazine I'd been hunting for the previous week. Then, later at the library I found more of what I was after in Ancient Roman reference and graphic novels (including a new Courtney Crumrin story).

Did a little bit of shopping at Glendale but was unable to find a "stable table" that didn't have a jelly bean pattern on it. A good day overall.
