I had a mixed result the week just gone. It seemed that every day I was out carting heavy books and food around in a backpack and in bags. My feet ached because the shoes I have don't seem to have decent soles. Two nights I fell asleep almost as soon as I got home. On Wednesday I thought I'd do some washing up, slipped and broke two bowls and injured my knee (never got beyond that). My bank account is the lowest it's been in a while.
But, I have finally set up a study at University in a "secret room" I'm not supposed to tell about (because everyone else will try and grab the same resource) and my laptop is running pretty much the way I want it. Although they didn't deliver it yesterday (I was out) on Monday I'll be getting a legal copy of Paint Shop Pro X2 (upgrade) which I'll probably use to do my graphic novels on (yes, I'll also be using Firefox and Photoshop, but PSP's where I'll do most of compositing).
I'm reorganising the My Documents folders on my study PC so that it'll be easy to find and synchronise things between computers (long job). And I bought inner soles so that my feet don't ache so much. So I suppose it's not been a wasted effort.
I'm checking my friend's page on LJ about once a week, but am still not game to go back to Facebook (other than ignoring and deleting incoming messages). And mostly, I still feel very lost in certain ways, but there's no quick solution to that, nor an obvious one either. Some of that's to do with loneliness and companionship, some of it's to do with sexual frustration (a dead zone) and some of it's (probably) to do with fatigue. And of course I am chronically depressed.
I have several priorities right now:
- Web Comics - mostly Tales of the Galli. which I can start on today;
- Hypergraphia 7 & Floods & Storms (needs to be finished/printed by T.I.N.A.)
- Exhibition at Auchmuty Library (very soon);
- Another possible exhibition for the Rainbow Visions thing.
Gasp. Well at least I'm keeping busy.
