Since I won't be checking my email, Live Journal or Facebook for a week starting midnight, I thought I'd get a last post in.

Been a good day today. I got a statement from Centrelink to kick-start my roll-over fund application (for early withdrawal, which will fund some of my house repairs). I activated a VISA debit card from my bank (which, unlike a credit card, has to have $$$ in it first before it can be used) which I may use sometime in the future to order stuff on the net where they only accept a credit card. I bought two discard books from Charlestown library - one on fictional detectives, and the other about strange Internet subculture and work ghettoes (apparently there are real Dilberts out there somewhere). I bought four pairs of slacks (all 3/4 length for summer) and two tops. I ate at a Thai restaurant. I did a small amount of food shopping and also bought a bottle of graphite, so that if a fire breaks out in the rear of my house, Kevin & Michelle wont be burnt to death trying to open the screen door. I browsed in JB's and Dick Smiths, looking at flat screen TVs and sophisticated graphics tablets that I probably can't afford.

So, I got some things done before tomorrow. I only have one scheduled trip in the coming 7 days and that's to see my counsellor on Thursday.

So tomorrow, no Internet, no TV, no fiction or comics, no radios blearing, no CDs or MP3s played from my computer. For a week. No distractions. There will be some exceptions. I will still be doing my webcomic and uploading the pages, and that will involve using the computer and using a web browser, but I will setup a favourite on my desktop that will take me to the upload page only. And I'll do that because my webcomics are not a distraction - they're a main event. I may also be backing up my data this week as well. I need to do that. But no games, no MP3s playing in the background.

And I will be getting quotes, no problems reading the phonebook (or bills). And if I need to go food shopping, reading labels and prices ete cetera.

And if Kevin has music playing I won't avoid it, but I won't seek it out either. Whew! Good intentions at least. Talk to you again in a week.
