Well, I started shifting furniture around in the kitchen, and cleaning the fridge (it needed it). Then when I thought I'd checked my mail, I actually got a call-back from Adobe Support. Although I'd managed to re-install my CS5 suite, they were still following up on the original problem. Because that was intermittant, there was nothing to do but close the case and refer to it later if it reoccurs. And it seemed they were genuinely appreciative of any feedback I gave them.

And just as the call ended, Rudolf (Jenny's step-father) turned up to give me a hand. He shaped a steel clothes hanger into a long "L" shape and proceeded to dowse for water. I tried it myself, and it works! Or at least I assume it does. Being tol,d that water is 12 foot or 25 foot down from a location is all very well, but until I drilled down to check, it can't be confirmed. Rudolf also had a look at a lot of stuff and gave me all sorts of tips on what to do first in fixing up the place. Bobby was really excited to see him as well, and wanted constant attention from us both.

After his visit, I had lunch while watching Invasion of the Saucer Men.. I was laughing at just how dumb it was, especially the dialogue:

YOUNG PUNK: I have the cure for that.
NAIVE YOUNG WOMAN: For what?
YOUNG PUNK: Thinking - have another beer!

The trailers in the extras were even funnier - the first four were for Ape films: King Kong; Son of Kong; Mighty Joe Young; and Konga! With the last one, just looking at the trailer you can tell how awful it will be.

Not to be confused with...

I haven't laughed like this for a while. Hope the rest of teh day is as good.
