The trouble with Medical Opinions (and labels)

Lady Bracknell.  May I ask if it is in this house that your invalid friend Mr. Bunbury resides?

Algernon.  [Stammering.]  Oh!  No!  Bunbury doesn’t live here.  Bunbury is somewhere else at present.  In fact, Bunbury is dead.

Lady Bracknell.  Dead!  When did Mr. Bunbury die?  His death must have been extremely sudden.

Algernon.  [Airily.]  Oh!  I killed Bunbury this afternoon.  I mean poor Bunbury died this afternoon.

Lady Bracknell.  What did he die of?

Algernon.  Bunbury?  Oh, he was quite exploded.

Lady Bracknell.  Exploded!  Was he the victim of a revolutionary outrage?  I was not aware that Mr. Bunbury was interested in social legislation.  If so, he is well punished for his morbidity.

Algernon.  My dear Aunt Augusta, I mean he was found out!  The doctors found out that Bunbury could not live, that is what I mean—so Bunbury died.

Lady Bracknell.  He seems to have had great confidence in the opinion of his physicians.  I am glad, however, that he made up his mind at the last to some definite course of action, and acted under proper medical advice.  And now that we have finally got rid of this Mr. Bunbury,..

Kurri Kurri Animal Shelter is cash free, but has EFTPOS & credit card facilities available.

If a rescue group is interested in procuring an impounded animal, please call Ranger Karen to confirm animal’s availability and to ensure the animals release.
Any enquiries about impounded animals should be directed to the Ranger on duty at the Shelter during operating hours.
We will endeavour to keep this thread as up to date as possible.

Adoption Fees: Fees cover microchipping, desexing and lifetime registration.
Cats:
Male: $185.00
Female: $245.00
Dogs:
Male: $264.00
Female – 0 to 10kg: 282.00
Female – 10 to 30kg: $310.00
Female – 30kg and over: $329.00

Rescue groups: $11.00 – Microchipping Fee (if applicable)

ALL ANIMALS MUST BE OUT OF THE SHELTER BY THE 11TH OF AUGUST. ANY ANIMALS REMAINING WILL BE EUTHANISED ON THE 12TH. WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE AS MANY ANIMALS AS POSSIBLE OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. IF ANY RESCUE GROUP IS ABLE TO TAKE ANY OF THESE ANIMALS PLEASE CONTACT RANGER KAREN AT THE SHELTER.

 

three thoughts

Sat down today and realised that there are three things that have been really bothering me since QC:

1. lack of intimacy (physical or emotional) with other humans locally (i.e. non-internet based);
2. Masters seems to be blowing out this semester with some sort or procrastination/fear; and
3. Real worries about my weight/fitness (dental check tomorrow).

Everything came together around the last weekend. It didn't help that I overspent by $100 as well. Decided to stay home today and think about stuff / nurture myself / save $$$ and so on. With that thought, I'm going OFF this PC until after dinner.

$42.13  to my name until next Wednesday. I have some cash as well, but can't afford to do much until then.

Today's obsession

Have been driven to distraction today trying to sort out a problem with the support software that came with my new phone, called New PC Studio. When it runs it leaves its Splash screen up, and this acts as a block to everything underneath! Very frustrating.

update: fixed it after uninstalling, updating SHOCKWAVE, and reinstalling. Works much better now!
