Hot and sticky

Funny sort of day today. I had to go out to return some library stuff, so I did a bit of shopping while I was out as well.

But first in the morning I went to the GimpGirl Xmas party in Second Life. Haven't been there much lately, and had a good time. Went out in the afternoon while it was still sprinkling rain. But everyone on the buses today seemed to be coughing. Went to Cardiff and then doubled back to Glendale. Felt a bit ill and sticky (it became really humid) so I had some lunch at KFC. Everything was loud and confusing there - I could barely hear the attendant when she called out my order. Banked a cheque, went to K-Mart and bout that $19 speaker set, then to Coles and Aldi for some food shopping. But by the end of that I was falling asleep at the bus stop! It was so humid and I'd gone out wearing a jacket (when it wasn't so humid) and good shoes which heated up my feet too much.

By the time I got home (just after 4:30pm) I felt stuffed, like all the humidity had sucked my energy from me. It's still sticky though not so hot. Just plugged the speakers in and they work much better than the even cheaper set I'd bought the other week - good enough for my hearing anyway, so I'm happy that I didn't spend $39 on the other system.

Shall be home until Thurday where I'll do a small amount of shopping, and Friday when I'm off to a BBQ in a local park.
