They've done it again

Those wankers at Thunderbird have done it again. Their latest update automatically disabled the add-ons and themes I had installed. Really sick of this, especially as the things I do want (outgoing filters and proper contact list tagging for ad-hoc mailing lists) is never developed! Will now make real plans to migrate off this client.

Thunderbird replacement = Eudora (!)

After a m orning of examining alternatives (and yes, I really did like Claws Mail) I've decided to go with EUDORA OSE. I used an old version of Eudora years ago, but the current one is a "Branded version of Thunderbird". In fact when I installed it and ran it for the first time it imported all the account details and locations of my mailboxes!

So, I still get to use Thunderbird, but without the wankery of their abusive updates!

Not so good News

EURODA seems to have a few bugs (like the "next message" not working), so I won't be migrating until I can sort them out.
