WHEN COMMUNITY ISN'T: How "Queer" and "LGBT*" fail

This is the article I was writing all yesterday:

I've been meaning to write this article since the last Queer Collaborations. I left it for some time because I didn't want to write something that seemed to be from a "sour grapes" attitude. But that's hard to do when examples of what I'm talking about are shoved in one's face almost daily by the media. This post is written from an Australian perspective and for for this year's Querelle, the magazine of Queer Collaborations. So here goes.
