addington Bear
Jan. 10th, 2015 09:08 amI saw Paddington Bear yesterday, even though it as a mistake. See I went out to see Big Hero 6, but I took my shopping trolley to go food shopping later. Somehow the guy sold me a ticket to Paddington Bear by mistake. I didn't realise until the film started, and I was thinking "This trailer goes on a while" and then realised it was the film starting! Anyway, I watched all of it and had a wonderful time. A charming middle-class Brit comedy. You know it's a middle-class when it's a "comedy of manners" like this film is. Loved it.
But then, I loved the Garfield films as well, whereas most people hated them. Plenty of slipstick in it (I loved the pickpocket chase) with cameo appearances by Peter Capaldi (Dr Who), Simon Farnaby (Horrible Histories), and Matt Lucas (little Britain). Bottom line of the film is about belonging and what a family is. I also enjoyed D LIme who are the calypso band that turn up on the streets all the time.
