This morning's silliness was waking up to a house with NO POWER. I though "Oh no, it's getting worse!" Then, when I went out to the fuse box I realised that I'd left the cover UP, after resetting it for the last time yesterday. That means the cover had been up (in a horizontal position above and in front of the switches/fuses) FOR ALMOST 24 HOURS. No wonder the power was off this morning - some light rain probably shorted it out.

I guess I just forgot to put it down, probably because at one point I was testing power points by selectively turning them off/unplugging them one at a time. But after it just stopped shorting out I forgot to put the cover down. SIGH.

I've been progressively having memory problems over the last year. Never BIG stuff, but short-term at the moment stuff, like finding I'd forgotten to put the canola spread back in the fridge after using it - that sort of stuff. Last year I put it down to stress over finishing the Masters, but I did that early January. What now?
