And this was odd.
Sep. 7th, 2015 05:55 pmWhen I moved in to this place in 1997 the backyard was divided into three by wire fences. I think that was because they had a horse in the rear section, and I'm not sure about the middle. The block is 10m wide by 100m deep, and as I DIDN'T have a horse I got rid of 2nd fence. It wasn't until 2001 that I had a proper (secure) rear fence and not until 2011 that the side fence (until then a mix of scavenged materials) was replaced with colourbond fencing.
Now the 1st fence was intertwined with a thorny vine on one side but not the other. I ripped out the other side in 205, but left the vine side as was. I realised today that most of that vine WASN'T THERE ANYMORE.
I guess I must be clueless sometimes about changes like this. I had an infestation of weedy/grassy stuff and it had covered it entirely , and killed it. There are bits of dead vine parts there (and a larges dead vertical section) but nothing alive. So I finally pulled out the weeds and ripped out that part of the fence. It was preventing me from mowing/weeding the area properly, and the space would make a great spot to move the outdoor sofa to.
That'll be tomorrow.
