I have an appointment tomorrow with an employment agency. They are part of the "Disability Employment Network", the idea of which is to find disabled people employment.
My disabilities mostly seem to be mental - depression, panic attacks and agoraphobia. Apart from tarot reading -- which is in a controlled environment -- the last time I did something like this was with "work placement" at Toronto Public Library in 1994. I had a lot of stresses when I did 3 days a week there for five weeks: I lost my notes; my car broke down. By the end, though I'd enjoyed it overall, I was pretty much stressed out (especially after repairs quoted at $330 cost $770).
So I'm not sure how this will go. I was pretty stressed earlier today when I discovered that I'd lost the letter with the appointment details! After unsuccessfully trying to "Disability Employment Network" in the yellow or white pages, I phoned the group that referred me there, and got the details that way.
Still, not a good sign.
