I was reading an old issue of PC User and found a reference to a site called KeepVid. What it does is enable you to save those videos you see from YouTube, Google, and elsewhere. Nifty idea. You find the page of the video you want to copy (like the Weird Al one below which is a parody of several DEVO songs/clips).

Then you find the URL of the link to the video (e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nIlFsERnmk for the one below) and copy/paste that into the field on the KeepVid page, select the site it came from (e.g. YouTube) and press the button. It comes up with a link you can download the video by! *SHOCKED*

Cool stuff - that means I can now get permanent copies of the things.
