I've got the DC 8500 purchased from the same source and as you've seen on my LJ, it's not a bad little camera. It's letting me get to grips with the digital technology before upping to a DSLR anyway and pops in a handbag which a DSLR certainly won't! I'll be taking it for a ride to the Orkney Islands tomorrow. :o)
