Well clearly a "do-over" card would involve some form of time travel even if it's a "Butterfly Effect" type, in order to influence events (which is why I mention the film). In popular media (especially Trek) aberrations and time loops tend to be self correcting, in that eventually what causes the aberration or loop is corrected and no one even it.
This question though is maybe about one of two things - one's regrets, and the idea of FATE. Would you / could you / will you correct those "mistakes" and "errors" in your past? But without them all, would you still be you?
