I've decided NOT to take on a puppy. There were two reasons. Firstly I went to get back on track next semester with my Masters, and a pup will need a lot of attention (there will be 2 here anyway). Secondly, I want to give Bobby the attention he'll need as an old dog, and a new pup now would distract me from that. Michelle understood.

I might get another dog after Bobby passes, but probably not not before. And what if Bobs passes unexpectedly before the end of the year - well that would be sad, but such decisions must be taken at the time, not with expectations like that.
