CS5 arrived

The Adobe CS5 suite arrived earlier today. After things settled down I actually installed it. I installed Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and Fireworks. It installed some other stuff as well. However, I also had to apply for a serial number based on my being a current student. Sent the details away but it might take up to a day to hear back (I told them I was doing graphic novels with them). I guess they check with my uni to verify what I say.

Anyway, just ran Fireworks - very very slick, with lots of extra things that I've never had - talk about an upgrade! I also noticed that registration was directly online under close control of the company (you need an ID, which I've had for ages but had to change to an ISP independent email address).

Won't muck around with it too much, but I feel better already for having bought the suite - that was the right decision!
