laura_seabrooki think i was more than a little manic yesterday. all i needed to do was not much at all, just relax. but i got carried away with other worries. never got any comics done, though i did create some t-shirts in second life and found some free space suits (NASA style). today was much better. not only did i do the usual housework items, but i also got a new queen sized mattress and cleaned out and organised my garden shed.
there was a note in the chip shop window that some one was giving away a queensize mattress and a single bed. i phoned and yes, they were on the other side of Barnsley. i would have taken the work troller and wheeled it home but for three things: my right knee aching; lots of traffic on the roads; and the awkwardness of getting it across the creek via either bridge. instead i asked daryl next door if he'd help me get home with his cruiser and he did (even if he did have the flu)! An almost brand new innerspring mattress for free! I really did need to replace the old foam mattress as it was well chewed by Hallie the dog when she was still a pup. Been sleeping on it anyway for the last 2.5 years. Now I don't have to any more.
The garden shed needed a good clean and I moved stuff about and added shelves that used to be in the duck pen that blew down. I also set up a spare settop box I had with a TV I got from community throw out and guess what - they work! Mind you with the reception out there I can only get channels 10, 10 HD, and ELEVEN until I get a better aerial. But the STB also plays DVDs, so I can watch films ut there as well. WAs doing that until a storm blew up.
So, a good housework day. Now for DR WHO!
