Not as ill as I was yesterday. A little bus sick yes, but not totally fatigued and coughing like I was yesterday. I bought two more buckets of Damp-Rid and placed one in the lounge.

Found out who I need to see in Design at the uni, and emailed a request for an appointment. I also found out who I need to see about funding and will follow that up tomorrow.

I also went to Kotara and went to Officeworks to try out a Large Bamboo graphics tablet which was similar to an Intuos. I really wanted to get a feel as to how it played as I used it. Despite having a security cable attached, I found it fairly easy and natural to use (no skipping or random surprises), though the applications I tested them on - Photoshop Elements and Painter Elements - seemed lobotomised versions of what I was used to.

It was a small trip over to Boarders at Westfields, where I discovered that the book I'd passed on a couple of weeks ago was still there, and even more discounted (60% off!). I bought a copy of Triumph and Tragedy which is a chronicle of the Emperors of the Roman Empire. There are several books like this in the local libraries, but this is the most inclusive, covering  not only Western and Eastern Emperors, but also Byzantine ones, Carolingian ones (just why was Otto so great?), and Holy Roman Empire ones right up until Napoleon disolved the whole thing. Fascinating reading for me.

The other treasure I found - and I wasn't expecting anything after discovering the other book - was Amphigorey Also by Edward Gorey. I already have Ampigoe and Ampigorey Too, so this was quite a pleasant find.

Had a late lunch, did some shopping, and came home. A good day.
