laura_seabrookDropped into Wallsend Library this morning, on the way in to university.
This is the NEW library, the one they've been building for the last six months....
Not only that, but I met Wendy there, who was supervising the volunteers who are there for the first few weeks. Wendy was one of my TAFE Library course teachers, and the one who tuted me in job applications. Now, OK, I don't actually have a library position right now, but her efforts were much appreciated.
I'll be back (said purposely NOT in the Terminator's voice)!

I was impressed. It's aleast four times larger than the old place in the ground level. It has way more stock, morew terminals, bright sunlit skylights (with baffles) seems much more organised (though anything would be better for the CD collection than what they had), and even has an art gallery.Not only that, but I met Wendy there, who was supervising the volunteers who are there for the first few weeks.
