Further Testing

Gah, was still testing the STUDIO pc. Booted to UBUNTU and had Clementine play a l-o-n-g playlist (all the files of which are on the second drive). Sure enough, the screen cut out while I was in the middle of posting to FB.
But then I thought "What if it's the new power board?" See I bought a powerboard that has master/slave outlets. When the master one has an appliance on it that gets turned off, the slave outlets get turned off as well. Maybe there's a power saving function on the PC that FOOLS the power board into thinking the master is turned off. That would explain the mystery blackouts this week (which didn't happen with the old power board).
Swapped in a new manual powerboard. Switches for each outlet. We'll see. So far Ubuntu had no trouble, but I don't know about windows yet.
