Jenny (again)

Had a chat with Jenny on the phone last night.

She wondered how I was. I'd phoned her just after dad died but got the "101 message service" instead. Seems she finally got around to checking that. Wondered when I was going to drop in at her place again. Huh? Last time I was going to she phoned to say that she didn't want me to.

Ah, who cares - I like her company anyway, and it seems that she likes mine (most of the time). But I think I won't be lending any money for smokes any more.

Hmm.. No offence because I don't know her, but do you think she might be manipulating you/using you??

It just sounds as though she might be. Making you upset by saying she doesn't want to see you, and then all of a sudden she's back to normal/wants your company again.

I had a friend who did that and when she said jump I would always say how high?
I realized she was manipulating me and I stopped seeing her.

...however as she's house bound, I can always walk away anytime I want. And when she did this most recently, I was only minorly upset.

And she still owes me $10.

Maybe she isnt manipulating deliberately... Does she have memory problems, Laura?

...she certainly has a restricted environment, being house bound. That's one reason I just agreed last time. Besides which, I've other things to do.

I like her company, but I'm not going to put myself out too much for it, any more.

And she still owes me $10.
