Mum phoned me last night to say that Dad's medical condition was declining fast.

Well, I sort of suspected that. I don't think he'll last until their 55th wedding anniversary, on the 5th of Decemeber. The next call I expect to be told that he's dead.

When I asked, mum told me about when he first got a stroke. It was on his birthday back in 2001. She was half asleep and he fell over getting out of bed. Later he was taken to Swan Districts Hospital but later had a 2nd stroke. It was the 2nd stroke that did so much damage.

Know I'll be crying soon.

Well, I just spent three hours logged into Gaia Online. I thought it would only take 30 minutes and I was wrong. Very very very addictive, and I think I must only login in while I have access to a broadband connection.

In that time, I: started a new journal (at Laura's Gaean Thoughts ); "bought" new clothes, a fishing line (and sold it again); played the pokies; and choose a house. I also contributed to several Forums and voted in inumeral polls. Everything is colourful and fun and... ...I missed a real-time Apana Management committee Meeting; haven't got home to feed my pets, or do the food shopping I need to do. I sort of feel guilty about this.

Guess I ought to keep a watch on the time when logged in at Uni. Wont be on it tomorrow, as I have to take the car in for a service. But I spent most of the morning playing around with Thunderbird, and writing a set of suggestions for a TB extension called Quick Text. And originally the only reason I came into Uni was to pay $10 for the Veggie Co-op, which (argh) wasn't being run (because of the Holidays).

I'm "losing it". I ought to be working on a couple more tarot cards. I guess though, that all the above is FUN (like Kiki was), and I'm back to trying to re-start (again).

Time to logoff here and go home (or shopping, or something).

Well, I only just got home.

I'd parked the car on a slight hill, but the gas tank was only 1/4 or less full. It took me 20-30 starts to get it up to the top, and then moving. Every start she'd inch forward 5-10 cm and then stall! I finally got her going at the top, and didn't stop until I reached the service station in Edgeworth. I filled up the tank and went home.

Just another problem. I was going to take her in for a service tomorrow. Now you know why.

After everything, I turned on the TV, and...

...there was a show about "Perpetual Motion".

I can relax now.
