Didn't get to bed until early morning last night, after chatting with [livejournal.com profile] _blubloo_ via e-mail (there are ways to do this via LJ, but it involves groups). I had a funny dream this morning, after getting up to let Xena out, and then going back to bed.

In the dream I seem to be living in a half-house, a place with one side torn out of it. The location varies. At one point I'm helping some people who live on the opposite side of the main road (next to the dead-end street I'm in) to capture their dogs before they get run over by buses (the only traffic). At another point the place was near a cliff surrounded by grassy meadow, with a rough track leading away.

Anyway, the three most memorable things were:
  • Lee (an old ex of mine) is leaving in her combination mac truck / 4 wheel drive. She shouts out above the din, whether or not I've followed up that date/contact she sent me. I ask her what she's talking about and she shows me a folder with all the details in. I ask her how I'd know about it if she'd left it in the truck?
  • I return to my house and find that the scavengers have come and started stripping bits of furniture and carting them away. Even the the top of the dressing table where I was sleeping, was missing. Then I find alligators. They're still quite young, and there are two light green ones (female) and two dark green ones (males). They are play biting me (and one tries to eat Gabby, the cat) and I decide that it's time to advertise them as give-away.
  • I'm looking around the house, and discover I room I never saw before, it's fill of all sorts of memorabilia and in the middle of the wall is an uncapped gas pipe with a burning flame on the end. I try and put out the flame (fearing that the house will burn down) but nothing works, and I'm interrupted by a male bearded friend who comes to visit.
So, what was that all about? I got  at least one message out of this - it's time to advertise the drakes in a free paper, and give them away. At the same time, I might also advertise the roller doors I have here too.

Anyway, might not have time for that today. the Rauni goes in for a tune-up today!

I just got back from Glendale. I feel: tired; head achy; cranky and bus sick.

I took the car in to be serviced just before 10 am. I had trouble starting it and barely got it to the shop, only 4 km away. Even though it'd been booked in, the mechanic (the same guy who did the work on it last year) said it wouldn't be ready until tomorrow. Was prepared for that, and decided to go shopping in Glendale. Why not Edgeworth, even though it was a very short walk from the garage? Because I wanted to get a Woollies $30+ fuel voucher, which gives 4c / litre discounts.

I walked to Glendale and did a little light browsing. By the time I got to Target I was feeling very odd, very light headed. Breakfast this morning had been some instant noodles and I'm used to a bigger breakfast. I went into Subway and had a 6" Chicken Teryaki roll. - I think they overcharged me for it. Did food shopping in Woollies and it only came to $24. Went back to Target and bought an out-of-date NetGuide (I want a bit of software on that issue's disk) and then waited for the bus.

And waited, and waited. Everything just seemed to take so much longer, and my comprehension levels (and patience) were down to minimal. After an hour's wait the bus finally came, and even now I still feel bus sick. My head is pounding and I feel like my ears are going to burst.

    I hate bus travel!

When I got home the last straw was finding cat throw-up next to the computer. I just cried for ten minutes straight. I'm not coping today. Hope tomorrow is better.
