Hailstones

Had a big shower of hail stones the other day. This is not that common here, though the first two weeks I moved to the Hunter Valley I heard on the news about two houses that had been destroyed by them!

Part of the front yard was covered with them as well. To the right is a cushion that Peggy sleeps on sometimes, in the Summer.

I would have posted these earlier, but I've been having continuing problems with reinstalling software on my PC, and I couldn't connect with my camera.

I'm starting to anticipate what the day's frustrations might be.

I'm still in the process of reinstalling stuff on my PC. I was trying to get Thunderbird (my e-mail) client to work, but it seemed to hang downloading mail on my hunter.apana account on the first message. Didn't know why, until I got to uni - someone had sent me a 4 mb + message! Don't have broadband, only a 56k dial-up. A month ago some tried to send a 8 mb message to me - and that was an advert for a cinema festival. Don't these folk know to send smaller copies of photos?!!!!!!

One plus point is that I got my student loan approved, and it will be available next Wednesday so that I can pay the insurance on my car. I don't want a repeat of last time, where I had an accident while out of rego on the way to pay this. Mind you, I haven't had a rego check done yet, but with money upfront for the insurance, I'm hoping that this won't involve too many repairs.

Just love November and December - they drive me crazy and give me the shits.

I'm off to see my endocrinologist this afternoon at 2 - that should be fun.

Infected from futabachan.

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE. When you're finished, if you like you can post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.
