Car Adventures

I probably shouldn't have gone out yesterday, but I did. I'm glad I did, but I almost had two accidents with the car. Running on one less cylinder, she kept stalling at really awkward places.

One was at a bad intersection at Wallsend, where traffic flow and stop signs make the whole thing really risky. I pulled out with what would have been enough time if she was running OK, but then she stalled. Later, she stalled at a traffic light I'd driven around to in order to get around the stop sign. I was gunning the engine and it was inching forward very s-l-o-w-l-y. I almost had the car behind run into me! All of which was a bit disturbing.

However, I'm glad I did go out. While I was at the uni library I discovered a copy of Webcomics, and sorted out a few things with Jenn. And today, the mechanic up the road fixed it (just a dead spark plug lead) for just over $50 - a lot cheaper than the guy I used to go to.
