Been having a hard time sleeping properly since I got back (been two nights so far).

Got woken up early yesterday by Jeb, and it was also the shift in daylight saving, so I was really off, tired and head-achy. Went to bed about 11pm last night, and woke up at 3am with a sinus headache. I almost got on the computer but thought better of it. Instead I watched 20 minutes of "Gentlemen... The Queen" on the ABC. This was a retrospective (in stirring patriotic tones) of Princess Elizabeth until she became queen. Turned it off and then woke up again at 4:30am. Turned the TV back on and "Carry on up the Jungle" was starting. I watched 10 minutes of it and that was enough! Not the best of the series. Got back to sleep and woke up at 6:45am. Still a little head-achy, but no where a s bad as yesterday.

I guess jet-lag, dogs and daylight saving are screwing my sleep patterns up.

Tired up some loose ends today.

I paid the $409.28 I'm supposed to owe for repairs to the car I hit but don't remember about. And if that's convoluted, I reasoned that it would be more so if I disputed the claim in court, and I would probably end up paying that figure + court costs, so quit while I'm ahead. I actually got an advance for this from Centrelink just before going on my trip, but it didn't clear until I was in-flight. This means that for the next six months I get about $42 less a fortnight. Might be a little tight, considering I'm also paying $25 a fortnight back on my student loan, but it's worth it for peace of mind.

The other loose end, oddly enough, was buying a copy of Carry on Screaming. Odd, considering that I watched part of another Carry On film this morning, though I'd had my eye on this one for a while. It's a parody of Hammer Horror films of the era (with a bit of Sherlock Holmes pastiche), and is well done. I watched it over at Jenn's this afternoon, falling asleep in the process.
