Gasp, don't know what happened in the last two days.

Wednesday night I went to bed early, but kept waking up after 3am. Thursday night it was all I could do keep my eyes open - fell asleep watching some Simpsons double feature on TV. But Friday...

Let's see I went via bus to: Newcastle University, Stocklands Jesmond, Wallsend (Plaza and Library), Cardiff and then home. I sorted out information about the printer in Photo-media (it pays to have a 2cm margin either side, apparently); got a free cup of chocolate for filling in a "Rodski Questionnaire"; bought three pairs of shoes and two pairs of thongs; some cables for the CD player that arrived on Monday; lunch (in the form of a small veggie Pide); got proof of benefit from Centrelink and paid the rego fee on Gabby the cat via mail; did small amounts of shopping; picked up a book on conspiracy theory from the library (and then had to go quickly to the toilets there for a case of diarrhoea); picked up a different book from a different library; banked a $200 cheque; and bought chips for tea at the shop on the roundabout.

It was a long day, but the sort where I got everything done, mostly be keeping focussed.

What weird fluctuations of energy and focus I have!

Every have a repeating dream? Every have one that repeated with a different ending? I did, this week.

Here's the original dream. I'm not in it, but it seems to be set in a version of my grandparents house in Claremont, Perth.

Version One
The cowboy has decided to check out what's going on at the old Seabrook place. There seems to be a 'shindig' going on in the backyard, only half the party seem to be zombies. It seems that there's a 'rare earth' in the area that spontaneously creates revenants. They have will free will and motive power, but still rot. The living can't get the gumption to tell the undead to piss off!

For some reason the zombies take a dislike to the cowboy, and slowly attempt to kill him (mostly by hanging off the back porch). This fails as he has a sweat heart in the house. The zombies decide to get in a zombie gunslinger and he arrives, walking down the driveway slowly. The

cowboy is worried, but just as they are about to hang him he discovers a cache of rare earth. It seems that not only does it reanimate the dead, but can kill them again. Soon they are all on the run and he also manages to defeat the zombie gunslinger as well.

OK, I often have "technicolour dreams" and think of them as good entertainment. Only, two nights later I had more or less the same dream, only...

Version Two
Same as bore, only this time the cowboy doesn't find the 'rare earth'. This time he's shot and hung, and later reanimated himself by some of that earth! The house is burnt down and many of the living killed and maimed.

Huh? Wasn't my subconscious happy with the first version?

Mind you, last night I dreamt I was involved in a "treasure hunt" held in a combination of East Perth (W.A.) and Newtown (N.S.W.) with a bunch of Goths. When it came time for mine, I stumbled into a strange second hand shop, where I bought a mirror that told me the address of whatever it was I was looking for...

Go figure.

Had a chat with Jenny on the phone last night.

She wondered how I was. I'd phoned her just after dad died but got the "101 message service" instead. Seems she finally got around to checking that. Wondered when I was going to drop in at her place again. Huh? Last time I was going to she phoned to say that she didn't want me to.

Ah, who cares - I like her company anyway, and it seems that she likes mine (most of the time). But I think I won't be lending any money for smokes any more.
