I am so sick of being sick! Had a rude awakening this morning when I had to race to the toilet with a bout of diarrhoea. I feel mostly better but that was a very rude reminder. I suspect I'm going to have to change the bed linen.

Despite that, and feeling washed out, I took Bobby and Hallie for a short walk. No surprises on that thankfully so maybe it's only a "leftover" from the previous day. For dinner last night I had chips and beer, and it actually settled my tummy down. Hopefully this'll be over by tomorrow.

It's been so hard for me not to do stuff today. See - everything's an absolute mess and I've having trouble concentrating.

The gear for the Media PC arrived on Monday and since then building it has tended to dominate my time, even though I'm still sick with this gastro bug. The whole thing was that unless it got done by the time Kevin left with Michelle (yesterday) then it wouldn't be done until the new year. So we had to focus on doing that (I guess). This meant my going out yesterday to get a 15m LAN cable (and a logitec wireless keyboard and mouse), which I did before doing food shopping.

The food shopping yesterday was much less stressful than I expected. I did it in the late afternoon and most folk (it seems) had done so in the morning. I seem to have lost a loaf of bread on the way home, though it was one of two so its not that worrying. Today, I installed the wireless keyboard/mouse and attached the LAN cable. Both worked and I can now watch videos on the Internet on my TV, and sit anywhere in the room with my flash remote (the keyboard). But after that, I just feel like a deflated balloon.

And Hallie just got out again. I've put her back on the anchor. Just not up to it today. I'm getting back into my nightshirt and pretend to be what I feel like - a zombie.

Need to get lunch.

Here's a photo of the bloody Media PC + peripherals from this morning:

Media PC

It's a bit shaky and blurry as I was shaking when I took it. The image on the TV is a streamed anime Death Note. The extra monitor is needed at the moment when the TV screen flips out. Lots of bugs still (two out three media programs don't seem to be able to detect the Prime and Ten networks) but it's a work in progress. Now I have a proper remote (the wireless keyboard) and it's hooked to the LAN / Internet, I can take my time perfecting it (with Kevin's help probably).

Well - that was my big Xmas present to myself, though the next post will tell you about another one (from Kevin) that was really touching.

Kevin got me this for Xmas:

I think it's one of the better pressies I've had in a while - it actually brought me to tears when I saw it (though I've been in tears today anyway, thinking about how Pegasus isn't here with me this Xmas).
