This is a copy of an email I've just sent to the Newcastle Region Library:

This is a query after a conversation the other month in Wallsend library about a DVD I donated. I would have emailed earlier but I misplaced the slip of paper the email address was written on.

I donated a DVD set of Xena, warrior princess. Season 6, part 2 to the library in October 2008. I handed the set -- which I'd bought a couple of weeks earlier -- over the counter to an attendant (I can't remember who) at Wallsend Library and explained clearly that I was donating it to the regional library. I explained that as the equivalent  item in the catalog was marked as status "Item missing", I was donating it to replace that copy. While I realise that the library has its own set of acquisition and culling policies, I cannot understand why this item is still listed as "Item Missing". Was the donation discarded? Was it accepted and then went missing again?

Question I did donate this back in October last year. What happened to it?

Very much an off day today. I was debating yesterday whether or not to go into uni, but there was no question about it this morning - I had  a sinus headache and it looked to be a hot day. Glad I've stayed home.
