As quoted from: this page

All voters will be given 2 ballot papers.

Take them to a voting screen where you can vote in private.

If you need assistance you can take a friend or relative with you, or ask an official to assist.

How to vote – on the small ballot paper

Write the number 1 in the square next to the candidate you want to vote for.

You can make more choices, if you want, by writing numbers in the other squares, starting with the number 2.

It is up to you how many choices you make.

How to vote – on the large ballot paper

You can vote above the line or below the line.

To vote above the line, write the number 1 in the square for the group you want to vote for.

You can make more choices, if you want, by writing numbers in the other squares above the line, starting with number 2.

Do not write any numbers below the line.

OR

To vote below the line, write the numbers 1 to 15 in the squares next to the candidates you want to vote for.

You must number at least 15 squares for your vote to be counted.

Write number 1 in the square next to the candidate who is your first choice, number 2 in the square next to your second choice and then keep numbering 3 to 15.

You can make more choices, if you want, by writing numbers in the other squares below the line, starting with number 16.

Do not write any numbers above the line.

If you make a mistake, take your spoilt ballot paper back to the official and they will give you a new one.

So remember, you don't have to vote for more than one candidate in the lower house, and only 15 for the upper house!

I need to go out and vote anyway, so, I plan to...

  1. Vote at the Barnsley Primary school (like I almost always do - once voted at WEst Wallsend Highschool);
  2. Catch the bus to Wallsend; return library stuff;
  3. Maybe just shop their for pet food, or go back to Glendale and do the same after seeing a film (Adjustment Bureau, maybe);
  4. Go home.
That's it. This is definitely not a housework or art-play day. The kneewe support should hold up to a light excursion.

Did everything I said I would. Saw a film called Limitless which was much better than I expected. Glad to be home.
