Darker Radio

Am enjoying these internet Radio stations:- Darkerradio: Gothic – Rock – Darkwave – EBM – Electro – Synthpop – Industrial – Indie – Alternative;
- Dark Ambient Radio: The space, the space of it all!;
- Gothville Radio: Cheeky Belgium station;
- This is Corrosion: (no relation) and
- Tormented: steaming dark electronic music since 1998.
Of course I also love Doomed at Soma FM, but the stations above have a more focussed, insanely driven sound. Sometimes I just need light ambient, or relaxation/meditation music, but other times I just need something DARK and all consuming.
I love the fact that many German bands sing in English. Of course, Raamstein comments on this as well.
No Compassion

So many people...have their problems
I'm not interested...in their problems
I guess I've...experienced some problems
But now I've...made some decisions
Takes a lot of time to push away the nonsense
Take my compassion...Push it as far as it goes
My interest level's dropping, my interest level is dropping
I've heard all I want to, I don't want to hear any more
What are you, in love with your problems?
I think you take it...a little too far
It's...not so cool to have so many problems
But don't expect me to explain your indecisions
Go...talk to your analyst, isn't that what they're paid for

Be a little more selfish, it might do you some good

This was one of the songs that got me hooked on Talking Heads, way back when...
A Haunting bit of music
Jan. 3rd, 2011 11:19 pm...which is from the soundtrack to Requiem for a Dream. Never seen the film (yet) but I borrowed the CD of the soundtrack from the local library. If you listen to it all the way though you get a very intense feeling, including one of waiting for impending change.
Damn it - I want to see the film, but it will probably be anticlimactic to the soundtrack.
