I have been very distracted this morning.

Never finished my morning pages, even though I started them at 9am (it's now just after 12pm). Got distracted on some computer issues that weren't really that important. Then when I got dressed and rushed out of the house the heel separated from my shoe in the $120 pair I was wearing. Not Happy. But I think I would have been less happy rushing off to uni without beinmg clear about why and what I was going to do there.

Things bothering me:

  • TDOR Event in Sydney
I was hoping to show the collection of the TDOR Webcomics Project at this year's event, assuming it would be at the same venue for the last 2 years. However it was announced at the Taxi Club (a multilevel nightclub that specialises in trans stuff) which would have made that awkward to say the lease. I was also going to film the performances. then that fell through and now it's at Taylor's Square, which is a semi-open space in Darlinghurst. That makes me feel very exposed, even if it is nominally in "GLBT territory". The intention of the organisers is to go to the Taxi Club afterwards anyway, but either way I can't get home without paying a taxi from the nearest Station (Cardiff) which is $24+ and as yet I don't yet have anywhere to stay after the event. I'm not going off to some event or a club afterwards without know what's happening afterwards. I hope to contact Jayne tonight about that.
  • Sydney events
There are three events in Sydney coming up on three consecutive days: First Sex and Gender Diverse Conference Australasia (Friday 2nd December);  Rally for Marriage Equality at ALP Conference (Saturday 3rd December); and 1LOVE: equality, marriage, freedom (Sunday 4th December). The first and last are 1day conferences in Redfern and Victoria Park (the next suburb). The middle one's a march somewhere, starting at Hyde Park.

I've ruled out attending the Rally. I think I would freak out in the middle of it. But the other two seem important. The issues are getting my pets looked after, and where do i stay while I go to them? Each runs until 5 to 6 pm, and getting a train home from Sydney at that point means getting to the nearest station after the last bus home - the same issue as TDOR above. So I can only really go if I stay somewhere for the night, and if I go to the event on the 2nd, what's the point of coming home on the 3rd when I'd go back down on the fourth? Really, to get to either one on time for the start I have to get down toSydney the night before.  That means accommodation for 2-4 nights away. Everytime I even think of asking maybe a facebook friend down there I freeze. And I know Jayne's not available those days.

So, I'm tying myself in knots over that.
  • Masters Review
This is coming up on the 28th of ths month. Need to focus on this above everything else and so far my Mind's a blank. I have a dental appointm, ent on the 22nd, oh joy, and I've needed to focus on the TDOR Webcomic project as well. I have one webcomic done for it, need to do another. And I also need to send out reminders about it.

But getting back to the review, it's mostly about what I think I've achieved this year and what I plan to achieve next year.

So those are the main things that are winding me up just now.
