Fretting over Ebony

No sign of Ebony - still.

I've created a "dog lock", where the middle side gate is shut and the connecting door between kitchen and lounge is closed. That means that the dogs can't get at the front of the house or the side of the house where Ebs played and hid. I've also place caches of her dry food underneath the house at strategic points.

Hopefully, she'll come back.

Cats can go on adventures that last a few days- mine used to every now & then & then come back safely with a cheeky look on their face.

But- ask your neighbours to look around their properties in case she's gotten trapped somewhere.

Is Jen's place close to yours? She might be heading back there. It may take her a few days to get there if she has. If she does turn up there, ask them not to feed her so she understands that it is not her home anymore.

Cats are survivors, they are wily & this one sounds like she is confident around dogs.

Good luck to you! I had a cat a few years back that would love to sneak out, then panic (being an indoor cat) & hide & refuse to come near the door back to safety & food. It was rather frustrating. But after a few days' anxiety, I'd eventually get him close enough to scooch him inside, where he'd stare wide-eyed from under the bed in horro at the world out there. Until, of course, the next time a door was open and no one was looking ...
